Reimbursement for Costs related to a Declared Disaster

Overview


The Robert T. Stafford Act provides for reimbursement of cost associated with the response and recovery for a Presidentially declared disaster. Specific information on what cost are covered and how to apply for reimbursement is contained on FEMA's Public Assistance webpage

Public Assistance to Local Governments


Reimbursement for specific personnel, equipment, contractor and repairs to infrastructure is available under the Code of Federal Regulations. Please see 44 CFR for more information about how reimbursement can be made.

Non-Profit Organizations


Reimbursement for expenditures directly related to a Presidentially declared disaster are available to non-profit community organizations and institutions
