Lucas County Commissioners Statement on Dana Holding Company Announcement

Lucas County Commissioners Statement on Dana Holding Company Announcement to Locate 300 New Jobs at Overland Industrial Park, Celebrate Partnerships to Make Project a Reality

TOLEDO, OH – The Lucas County Board of Commissioners is extremely pleased to support Dana Holding Corporation’s important job-creating project, located at Overland Industrial Park. Dana, a Fortune 500 company, will create 300 high-wage jobs which will help continue the forward economic development momentum underway in Lucas County. The Lucas County Commissioners will provide a significant economic development loan to the Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority for upgrades to the current building to make it suitable for Dana’s manufacturing needs. In addition, the Commissioners will provide workforce development services and programming to help ensure that Lucas County residents are work-ready for these new jobs at Dana.

This opportunity for new job growth was made possible by the vision and creativity of all the private and public sector partners involved in this project. The manufacturing industry built Toledo and Lucas County. The Lucas County Board of Commissioners is excited to support the continued growth of this sector, for this generation and the next. Today’s announcement is a game-changer for the Overland Industrial Park and the future of Lucas County.
