Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Lucas County,Ohio, at its office at One Government Center, Suite 800, Toledo, Ohio 43604 until 10:00 AM on December 5, 2011 and opened immediately thereafter for the performance of all labor and furnishing of all materials and tools required to complete all work for the Lucas County Corrections Center Door Hardware Replacement. The project is estimated to be Ninety Four Thousand Dollars ($94,000.00). Copies of the plans and specifications prepared for the said purpose are now on file at City Blueprint of Toledo, 3455 Briarfield Boulevard, Suite D, Maumee, Ohio 43537 or phone 419-243-7271. The fee is $20.00 plus tax & freight cost. Visa, MasterCard, cash or company check is accepted. Please fax order to 419-243-6418. There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Monday, November 28, 2011 at 9:30 AM at the Lucas County Corrections Center First Floor Conference Room at 1622 Spielbusch Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43604.

Said specifications and estimate are on file for the inspection and examination of all bidders and persons interested therein. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty Bond, a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Letter of Credit. The Bid Guaranty Bond shall be in an amount equal to 100% of the bid. Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Letter of Credit shall be in an amount equal to not less than 10% of the bid. Each of the aforementioned shall guarantee to the County that if a contract is awarded to the bidder they will within ten (10) days from the date of such award enter into proper and acceptable contract for the faithful performance of their work. In the event the Contractor fails to enter into proper contract, an amount equal to 10% of the Bid Guarantee Bond or the full amount of the Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit will be forfeited to Lucas County as liquidated damages.

Bids must be stamped with the time and date received by the Commissioners receptionist. The Board of County Commissioners may, in its discretion, reject all bids, or accept any bid for both labor and material for such improvements which is the best and lowest in the aggregate, and said Board reserves the right so to do.

Bids for the above-described work must be made on blanks to be furnished by Lucas County. Bids must be addressed to the Board of County Commissioners of Lucas County, Ohio, and endorsed on outside of envelope the items of work bid upon.
