The Board of Lucas County Commissioners is requesting qualifications to provide construction management services for the relocation of Centralized Drug Testing to 1302 Washington Street in Toledo, Ohio.

The project consists of exterior and interior renovations to an existing concrete masonry bearing wall structure.  The exterior renovations include removal of existing pavement and installation of concrete walks and lawn area, removal of exterior finish coating from concrete masonry along with repairs and new finish material installation, removal of existing overhead door and closing of opening, repairs to existing above grade truck dock and construction of accessible ramp to dock level, new exterior windows along East side of building and restoration of existing glazing and frame along South façade of building.

Interior renovations include demolition of existing interior finishes and equipment, new interior walls, ceilings, floor and wall finishes, solid-surface countertops and related casework support, plumbing and fixtures, relocation of fire protection riser and modifications to existing fire protection system, HVAC, and data/communications wiring, new electrical service and distribution and lighting panels, switches, outlets, and interior and exterior lighting fixtures.

The estimated project cost is $442,000, with a project start date of approximately September 1, 2012 and an estimated completion date of approximately May 30, 2013, including the exterior work and renovations.

A pre-submittal Mandatory Conference will be held on July 11, 2012 at 10:30am at 1302 Washington Street, Toledo, Ohio.  Parking is available on site.   Attendance of this conference is mandatory.  Please R.S.V.P. to Kelly Roberts, Director, Office of Management and Budget at (419) 213-4536 or with firm name and number of attendees.

Sealed proposals are due in the office of Lucas County Commissioners. Four (4) hard copies of the proposals shall be submitted no later than 2:00 PM on July 25, 2012 to the Board of Lucas County Commissioners, One Government Center, Suite 800, Toledo, Ohio  43604-2259, Attention:  Kelly Roberts, Director, Office of Management and Budget.  Proposals shall be clearly marked "Construction Management Proposals – Lucas County Commissioners – Centralized Drug Testing Relocation"
