Description:
Sealed bids will be received at the Office of the Board of Supervisors, Lucas SWCD, One Thirty West Dudley Street Ste A, Maumee, Ohio 43537 until three thirty o'clock (3:30) P.M., EST, on Monday, February 23, 2015, for furnishing all labor and equipment necessary for 2015 Farm Custom Rates.

At said time and place, all bid proposals shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

Such proposals as herein concerned shall be for the following described.

Item I The farming of the Blue Creek Conservation Area located in Section 2 and 11 Waterville Township, Lucas County, Ohio.  The approx acreage is 185 acres.  Crops to be a Corn, Soybean and Wheat rotation.


Item II Bid Sheet and Specifications may be obtained from the Lucas SWCD, One Thirty Dudley Street Ste A, Maumee, Ohio 43537, (Telephone (419) 893-1966). a non-refundable deposit of $1.00 if required to be mailed for each set of plans and specifications.

Bidding forms and specifications can be obtained from the Lucas SWCD Office or VIA the internet and may be viewed on the Lucas County web page at: http://www.co.lucas.oh.us/lswcd.  All bids shall be properly signed by an authorized representative of the bidder.

All bids shall be sealed and plainly marked "Bid for 2015 Farm Custom Rates."

All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.  Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.

The Board of Supervisors may reject any or all of the bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason.  The failure to make such a disclosure shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any successful bidder against Lucas SWCD.  The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the bid that do not affect or destroy competitive bidding.  In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigation are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award the contract.
