Board of Revision Process
When will I hear about the status of my Board of Revision application?
All applications were entered in the system after the March 31 deadline in the order in which they were received.  We will begin hearing cases beginning on May 11 and continuing through October 2, 2009.

If you chose to attend a hearing, you will receive a certified letter stating your hearing date and time. The letter will arrive at least 10 days prior to your hearing date.  We encourage home/property owners to make the necessary  arrangements to attend the hearing.  Due to the large number of applications, we will allow for only one reschedule.  If you fail to attend your hearing date, the Board will render a decision on your behalf based on the evidence that was submitted with your complaint.  After the hearing, you will receive another certified letter indicating the Board's decision.

If you would like more information regarding the hearing process feel free to watch our Board of Revision video.

What if I waived my attendance at a hearing?
If you opted to have the Board render a decision on your behalf, you will receive a certified letter indicating their decision.  We will begin hearing cases beginning May 11, 2009.

What if I am not satisfied with the Board's decision?
If you are not satisfied with the Board's decision, you may appeal your case to the Board of Tax Appeals.

Who makes up the Board of Revision?
The Board of Revision is comprised of one representative from the following Lucas County offices: Auditor, Commissioner, and Treasurer.
