Judge James D. Jensen
Judge James D. Jensen was elected to the Sixth District Court of Appeals in November, 2012. Prior to his election to the Court of Appeals, he served 18 years on the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas, General Trial Division. He served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio for a period of 13 years before entering private practice as a partner with Spengler Nathanson.
Judge Jensen received his B.A. degree from Wittenberg University in 1966 and his J.D. degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1969. He is a past president of the Toledo Bar Association and currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar Association.
He and his wife Lynn have five children and reside in Toledo.
