Type B Orientation/Training/Health & Safety
TRAINING AND NEW PROVIDER ORIENTATION

Provider Orientation: All sessions begin at 10:00 am. Admission begins at 9:45 am. No one is admitted after 10:05 am. Please check in at the Security desk.

Health & Safety training:
You MUST have a completed application already submitted to the Agency and be registered in order to attend. All sessions begin at 9:00 am and last until 1:00 pm. You MUST attend both days in order to obtain your training certificate. Admission begins at 8:45 am. No one is admitted after 9:00 am. Please check in at the Security desk.

There are trainers outside of Job & Family Services that provide Health & Safety training. You may obtain your Health & Safety training through them; however, you must ensure that their curriculum is approved by Ohio Department of Job & Family Services for Type B Home Child Care Providers. Health & Safety training obtained through an outside trainer is at your own expense and you must obtain a JFS 01924 "Inservice Training for Type B Home Child Care Provider" form from the trainer.

Health & Safety training for Type B Home Child Care Providers is also available online. You may obtain your Health & Safety training through them; however, you must ensure that their curriculum is approved by Ohio Department of Job & Family Services for Type B Home Child Care Providers. Health & Safety training obtained through an online training is at your own expense and you must obtain a JFS 01924 "Inservice Training for Type B Home Child Care Provider" form from the trainer. Currently the only online training site we are aware of is www.airchildcare.com however, there may be others.

ODJFS will accept online child abuse training provided by approved training organizations. The approved organizations can be found at:

Only approved organizations will be accepted.
