Public Services
Responsibilities
Public Service, sometimes known as the front counter, is responsible for the dissemination of public records on approximately 205,000 properties. In addition, the Auditor’s office makes available the ownership and value history records. Contact with the public now takes four forms:
  • In-person visits from the public and real estate professionals
  • Telephone inquiries
  • REALFAX which is our fax back document service for the local dialing area
  • Website

General Inquiries for the Real Estate Division
The public Service staff is also the entry point for all general inquiries for the Real Estate Division. Available in the public service area is complete reproduction capabilities for public records including:
  • Photocopiers
  • A microfiche reader / printer
  • Twelve public access PCs (each with a printer), including a handicapped accessible PC
