Toledo, OH – Lucas County Canine Care & Control (LC4) is running its fifth annual Valentine adoption special. This year’s theme is “The One”, which is a joint promotion in collaboration with the Best Friends No More Homeless Pets partnership network. Each day Cupid will randomly select one lovable pooch to have a $14 (plus a license) adoption fee for an extra chance to find true love. The special will run from February 1st through the 14th and is held at the Canine Care Center, located at 410 S. Erie St., Toledo.
“If you are looking for someone to love you unconditionally, a wonderful canine companion may be just what you’re looking for,” said Julie Lyle, Lucas County Canine Care & Control director. “We have a variety of great dogs looking for love.”
To adopt a furry Valentine the $100 adoption fee (or $14 fee for featured dogs) includes the spay/neuter surgery, initial vaccines (distemper/parvo, rabies and bordetella), worming, registered microchip, physical exam, and behavioral evaluation. There is an additional $25 fee to license the dog, which must be done at the time of adoption.
“The One” Valentine promotion will be a fun-filled event for people of all ages, both two-legged and four. If you want to share the love but not able to bring a furry Valentine home, LC4 is always looking for donations of old towels, blankets, treats and toys, and anyone interested in becoming a volunteer is invited to stop on in and fill out a volunteer application.
